Just Care Foundation: Code of Conduct
Our Core Value: To serve with integrity, compassion, and transparency.
1. Ethical Conduct & Integrity
- Honesty: Members shall act with honesty and transparency in all community dealings and internal reporting.
- Conflict of Interest: Staff and volunteers must disclose any personal or financial interests that may conflict with the Foundation’s mission.
- Non-Discrimination: We provide aid and employment without regard to race, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
2. Safeguarding & Professionalism
- Respect for Beneficiaries: We maintain a professional distance and never exploit the vulnerability of those we serve.
- Child & Vulnerable Adult Protection: Just Care Foundation has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse, harassment, or exploitation. Any suspected mistreatment must be reported immediately.
- Dignity in Media: When taking photos or sharing stories of beneficiaries, we must obtain informed consent and ensure the individual is portrayed with dignity, not as a “victim.”
3. Use of Resources
- Financial Responsibility: Foundation funds must be used solely for authorized charitable purposes. Personal use of NGO assets (vehicles, equipment, or funds) is strictly prohibited.
- Data Privacy: All members must uphold the Privacy Policy previously established, protecting donor and beneficiary data.
4. Workplace Environment
- Harassment-Free Zone: We foster a work environment free from bullying, sexual harassment, and intimidation.
- Substance Use: The use of illegal drugs or alcohol during working hours or while representing the Foundation is prohibited.
5. Reporting Violations (“Whistleblower” Clause)
Any member who witnesses a breach of this Code is encouraged to report it to [Insert Name/Title of Compliance Officer] without fear of retaliation. We take all reports seriously and will investigate them fairly.
